The Peycocut terroir

Les Demoiselles is born of 4 parcels in the Peycocut lieu-dit ("where the cuckoo sings", recorded as early as 1541), on the asteria limestone of the Saint-Martin plateau, the high point of the property, surrounded by premier cru neighbours. 2.7 hectares of vines around 100 years old, of which 1.5 hectares are reserved for TERWA pre-orders.

The bottles are aged then held in bond at Bordeaux City Bond (established by the Bordeaux CCI in 2009), insured by AXA, until they are made available. Each vintage can be delivered in an original 3-bottle wooden case.

Production varies from year to year: frosts, droughts and yields are part of the life of a vineyard worked without chemicals. If the harvest is insufficient for a given vintage, the pre-order is carried over to the following vintage.
